Mugdha Chaphekar has acted in the serial Kya Mujhse Dosti Karoge. She has also worked in films as a child artist. After Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan, she came back in another Saga Arts presentation, Dharam Veer as Shera. The show ended in October 2008.She has been applauded for her power-pact performance as Shera for theis show. She went to star in the drama serial Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari on Colors in the main lead for which she had a completely different avatar. She was part of the show Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo on SAB TV as Aarti alongside Sumeet Raghavan, Apara Mehta and Tiku Talsania; and Golmaal Hai Bhai Sab Golmaal Hai as Dhwani. She fought against women violence by appearing in Halla Bol as Isha. She was last seen as the lead Aarushi in the Zee TV show, Satrangi Sasural. Besides this she has done many T.V. Serials like Solhah Singaarr and Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin. Mugdha also showed up in many commercial advertisements like Clinic Plus, Rexona, Coca-Cola, Reynolds, aquaguard and one in a food restaurant telecast in United Kingdom. She has worked with big actors like Dharmendra and Sachin Pilgaonkar in her first film Aazmayish
Her debut film The Silence Hindi/ Marathi directed by National Award winning director Gajendra Ahire has been shot and is premiering at various international film festivals.It has won awards in Germany and has been getting a good response at other international Film Festivals. She started her career in acting at the age of 5. She has completed her graduation in English Literature from D.G. Ruparel College, Matunga, Mumbai. She completed her graduation by securing first division in the third and final year while she was shooting for her show Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan. Mugdha was first noticed whilst working on the historical drama Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan as Sanyogita. Chaphekar s onscreen chemistry with co-actor Rajat Tokas was widely accepted. Though the cast of the show was changed on in 2007, Chaphekar and Tokas returned in a new look in a new series Dharam Veer on NDTV Imagine. Mugdha is really appreciated for her ability of doing the role according to the need of the character. She played the lead role of Aarti in Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo and she played the role of Dhwani in Golmaal Hai Bhai Sab Golmaal Hai on SAB TV. Mugdha has been seen in Bindass s show Halla Bol. This show was based on social abuse against women. She played the leading role of Aarushi as Vihaan s Ravish Desai wife in Satrangi Sasural in December 2014 - September 2015
She is currently in a real life relationship with Vihaan Ravish Desai which used to be her co -star Vihaan in Satrangi Sasural. They have been dating for a year now and they have finally decided to take their relationship a step ahead. They are going to get engaged in January, 2016 and they are expected to get married and tie the knot either during the end of 2016 or in the following year 1

In the serial Prithviraj Chauhan she has emoted the character of Sanyogita perfectly and had done the emotions like comedy, naughtiness, romance, pain of love, a good daughter, and a eternal lover In the serial DharamVeer she had performed the character of Shera really well and has made all the viewers to accept the character of Shera as sweet and loving.Despite the character was negative in the start she made this character to be still remembered and loved by her admirers. Jodi of Rajat and Mugdha was widely accepted and for their fans they become the true Prithviraj And Sanyogita but unwantedly they got changed on 21st October,2007 and left the show. And all their fans missed them a lot in the show but then she came in a different look in new series of brotherhood, friendship as a daku called Shera in DharamVeer. Here too she was casted opposite Rajat and all their fans loved their hot and sizzling Jodi . In the series, Mere ghar aayi ek nanhi pari as chandni she made her admirers to understand the feelings of her character without speaking n expressions were perfect to emote the character. The very charming and talented actress Mugdha Chapekar can be described as the perfect look-alike of the pretty Bollywood actress Amrita Rao and great Bollywood Actress Padmini Kolhapure and was born in the tinsel town and brought up over there.
